As time goes by, kynghidongduong.vn many ancient towns in China have been lost or over commercialized. Although there still exist many famous ancient towns in south China, they seems to become more flashy because of over development. While Fubao Town accompanied by mountains and rivers is different from those commercialized ones. Fubao Town is a very peaceful ancient town in southwest Sichuan province. During my journey there, I spent the real peaceful and pleasant time without noise and flippancy of big cities.

Taking about one-hour coach bus at Hejiang county, I got to Fubao Town, but the scene before my eyes made me confused and Lạc Sơn Đại Phật disappointed because nearly no ancient trace can be found in the street. Modern buildings, small shops, the new concrete street seem to show that the town is stepping into modern life. When crossing a river, my confusion and disappointment were dismissed.

With the help of a locals, I got to the real ancient town. The time seemed to go back to last century. The wooden houses along the both sides of flagstone street are well combine with nearby natural environment so the houses seem like growing from the ground. I am very interested in panoramic view of such beautiful town so I climb the north mountain after meal which is said to be the best location to get the panoramic view of the town. According to introduction of the locals, It was first built in the early Ming Dynasty. At first, the people here lived a very hard life because of bad traffic so people here tried to use temples to flourish the town. In the late Ming Dynasty, there were more than 100 temples and Fubao became a big one. The now buildings was built in Qing Dynasty.

Roaming around the street and watching persons in the town, I think there are many stories here. The peaceful town and people - sleepy old persons under the tree, embroidering women, children playing on the street - make time here slower and you can spend real pleasant time here.

Highlight:

Fubao is located in the Hejiang county, southwest Sichuan Province and was built on the slope of mountain. The rows of stilt houses here has history of 500 years and still keep its original style and layout.
