In September, one of my Chinese friends, a photographer, and I bicycled along Tibet-Sichuan Highway and he introduced me the very beautiful but less-known destinations for photographing - Mugecuo , Xinduqiao and Kangding.

Mugecuo Scenic Area is compromised of many mountain lakes, hot springs, virgin forest, grassland and snow-capped mountains. Covering an area of 350 square kilometers, it includes such six spots as Azalea Valley, Horse Racing Ground, Qise Lake, Yaochi Hot Spring, Red Lake and Blacke Lake. Mugecuo takes on different scenes in a day. In the morning, the lakes and mountains are covered by the mist. As the sun rises, the mize melts away. In the afternoon, the breeze blows and you can feel cool. At dusk, the setting sun was making brilliance upon the water and flushed the mountain tops.

Xinduqiao, also call East Russin, is located 437 kilometers west to Chengdu and 83 kilomters west to Kangding at the separating point of North and South Tibet-Sichuan Highway. Although there is no prominent landmark, the over 10-kilometer-section is regarded as "Photographers' Corridor" between Zheduoshan and Lạc Sơn Đại Phật Xinduqiao, which features plateau pasture scenery of rolling chain of mountains, river vallers dotted with poplars, grassland, Tibetan houses. For centuries, Kangding has been the trade center of Han and Tibetan peoples. It is also the getaway to Tibet from Sichuan.
